Availability of funds for businesses with costs due to the pandemic
In conjunction with the Durness Community Council (DCC), the Durness Development Group (DDG) obtained funding amounting to £2000 from the Towns and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) Resilience and Recovery Fund, to assist businesses with the added costs due to the pandemic. At the recent meeting of the DCC it was agreed that £1000 be spent on ‘fogger’ disinfecting machines and refills for same. The other £1000 to be used to refund the costs of purchasing pandemic prevention equipment. Reimbursements to a maximum of £50 will be available, subject to availability, to individual businesses on application with a receipt of costs and bank details. Applications to be approved by Ron Tucker (DCC & DDG), Don Campbell (DCC & DDG) and Sheila Frazer (DDG).
Four ‘fogger’ machines and refills NOW AVAILABLE for use by businesses in the village. These will be distributed, on application, by Ron Tucker, Ceol-na-Mara, Lerin; tel: 511 383.
